As I embark on my campaign for a fourth term, my decision to seek reelection stems from a profound commitment to the community I serve and a desire to build on the progress made during my previous terms. A dedication to public service, effective governance, and a vision for a vibrant, inclusive city have characterized my leadership.

This election is not my campaign; it is our campaign. Over the last 12 years, we have worked together to maintain the delicate balance of growth of the business while maintaining the environment we call home. The next 4 years are not what I can do, it is what we can do together.

What is your vision? We cannot stop change; we can only hope to shape it. Everyone knows where Highlands is; it is no longer a secret. A new group of people may come to Highlands, join together, and decide they want Highlands to become something they left behind, or something they want--something that is not Highlands.

We need to have a conversation to understand how the future will be. Change is coming, we cannot stop it, we can only hope that together to manage it. For the next four years, together, we can shape the future.
